Flamborough Connects » Youth Empowerment Program

The Flamborough Youth Empowerment Program is an important Flamborough Connects initiative. Youth led and agency supported, this program is focused on creating a multi-dimensional hub for Flamborough youth – where they can engage with each other, build networks and share interests.

Hub activities will be chosen by local youth and led by a core team of young people (the Leadership Team) and FC’s Youth Programs Coordinator. Activities include:

Youth Job Fairs
Summer Employment Opportunities
Youth Volunteer Fairs
Opportunities to explore topics and activities chosen by youth: Recreation, Social Inclusion, Physical and Mental Wellbeing, Fun and Games
Opportunities to learn and implement leadership skills – and coach younger participants

The hub is accessible online and at multiple in-person locations throughout Flamborough.

The Leadership Team and all participants receive volunteer hours and have a ton of fun!

Youth Employment Services

Since 1978, Flamborough Connects has run its Youth Employment Services program. This program is designed to match students to local employers. Since the launch of the program, we’ve helped over 6,000 students.

Both students AND employers are welcome to register with us. Whether you’re a high school student, university or college student, a business, or a citizen of the Flamborough area, we can help you find what you’re looking for. Please note that although we will try our best to find a suitable employer(s)/employee(s), it is not guaranteed.
