Seniors

SAM Adult Day Program – A program of Good Shepherd provides a structured day out for seniors and adults who are unable to participate in their usual social and recreational activities.  The goal is to stimulate, activate and maintain through a variety of physically, mentally and socially engaging activities.  Held at Notre Dame Centre 1921 Snake Rd. Seniors Program, Catholic Family Services – case management to remain living independently, live with dementia, intervene in cases of neglect and provide peer support.  Call 905-527-3823 or email intake@cfshw.com

Holiday Gift Program – supports local low-income seniors who are alone for the Holidays.  Donors purchase items on each person’s wish list and gifts are wrapped and delivered to individuals for Christmas.  If you know someone who could benefit call Flamborough Connects at 905-689-7880

Women

Young Parent Program, Catholic Family Services – a 12-bed residence for those aged 13 to 21 who are having a baby or have had a baby.  St. Martin’s Manor offers support with childcare, schooling and community outreach.   Call 905-527-3823 or email intake@cfshw.com

Anyone

Catholic Family Services of Hamilton – provides counseling, community connection, and education programs. The counseling team offers scheduled appointments Monday through Friday. Drop-In counseling is available every Tuesday from 12 noon to 6:30 pm at 460 Main St E, Unit 404, Hamilton. Call 905-527-3823 or email intake@cfshw.com.

Persons with Disabilities

Other Local Supports

De dwa da dehs nye>s Aboriginal Health Centre provides culturally safe mental health & addictions services for all members of the urban indigenous community in the regions of Hamilton, Brantford/Brant, and Niagara. We work with individuals over the age of 6 to provide: counseling, groups, outreach, navigation, case management, and peer support. Call 905-544-4320 ext. 215

MS Support Group
The MS (Multiple Sclerosis) Support Group meets the 2nd Tuesday of each month (from September to June), 1:00pm – 2:30pm. Flamborough Family YMCA, 207 Parkside Drive. (no appointment is necessary but call first as the group sometimes meets at a different location.)
