Hamilton Regional Indian Centre (HIRC)

Hamilton Regional Indian Centre, has been providing the Indigenous community with a place to gather, access service and participate in Cultural teachings and practices. Various programs such as youth employment and education, health and wellness, children and family programs, cultural capacity training and various supports and service that are available to the community members of Hamilton.

Ontario Native Women’s Association (ONWA)

The Native Women Center provides safe shelter for all women regardless of age, ancestry, culture, place of origin or sexual orientation with or without children who are experiencing crisis in their lives. They also support the community with an emergency outreach program, all around supports for women who need and want a fresh start.

 De Dwa Da Dehs Nye: Aboriginal Health Center 

The Aboriginal Health Center provides service in health and well-being of indigenous individuals, families and the communities. They have various services such as clinical services, mental health and addiction services, cultural wellness and outreach programs and a healthy living program.

 Niwasa Kendaaswin Teg 

Niwasa Kendaaswin Teg is a multi service indigenous organization that provides programs and services to the indigenous community members. Niwasa also provides a fully license daycare, indigenous based head start school for children, various children programs, prenatal program for pregnant women, and an emergency food bank.

 Ontario Aboriginal Housing Services

Ontario Aboriginal housing services provides safe and affordable housing for low income and geared to rent rentals, Ontario priorities housing initiative (OPHI) homeownership programs, and Ontario priorities Housing initiative (OPHI) Ontario renovates home repair programs.

Flamborough Connects Land Acknowledgement

Flamborough is situated on the traditional territory of the Neutral, Haudenosaunee & Mississauga’s of the Credit First Nation. ​

This land is covered by the Dish With One Spoon Wampum Belt Covenant, an agreement between the Haudenosaunee and Anishinabek to peaceably share and care for the resources around the Great Lakes.
