Are you a senior or isolated adult looking for a weekly friendly call?
The Flamborough Connects’ Friendly Calling Program serves seniors and isolated adults in Flamborough and the greater Hamilton area.
- Friendly callers provide weekly companionship, support, and social contact through phone calls.
- Social phone calls reduce feelings of isolation and loneliness
- Seniors’ ability to age at home is enhanced through continuing to live a healthy, enriched and independent life.
Volunteer callers call clients once per week for a minimum 15-minute telephone chat to provide a sense of companionship and support, social interaction and engaging conversation.

Are you interested in being a Friendly Calling volunteer?
Volunteers must be 18 years of age or older, have a current police check (Vulnerable Sector Screening) and provide 2 references. Flamborough Connects will provide an intake interview, orientation, training, screening and monitoring. Volunteers complete and submit a simple tracking form to Flamborough Connects once a month.
