Flamborough Connects » Introducing the new Flamborough Connects executive director
Hello Flamborough!
What an honour it is to join Flamborough Connects and serve this fabulous community that I call home. My name is Colleen Stinson and I am the new executive director at Flamborough Connects.
As a lifelong Flamborough resident, I’m excited to continue the amazing work done by Amelia Steinbring, the Flamborough Connects Board staff and volunteers. A huge thank you to Amelia for all her hard work and mentoring me to step into the very big shoes she is leaving!
Did you know that Nov. 16 was Information and Referral Day? Providing our community members with information about Flamborough and referrals to community services is a focus of Flamborough Connects. Do you need information about seniors’ services? Volunteering in Flamborough? Transportation services? We can help with all that and more!
Call the Flamborough Connects office at (905) 689-7880, email us at admin@flamboroughconnects.ca or drop by our office in the Waterdown library building. We’re happy to help you get the information you need!
If you are looking for local events, check out the community events page on the Flamborough Connects website, flamboroughconnects.ca.
Does your non-profit group have a community event you would like to promote? Submit your event right on our community events page. Check back often because we’re always adding new events!
There’s still time to register for this year’s Holiday Gift Program supporting vulnerable seniors in our community. Generous donors provide gifts for local seniors, which Flamborough Connects Youth volunteers wrap and Flamborough Connects volunteer drivers deliver.
Visit F45 at 477 Dundas St. East, which is located across from Domino’s Pizza, to select a name and wish list from their holiday tree. Drop off gifts at F45 or the Flamborough Connects office in the Waterdown Library building.
Our elves will take care of the rest and you’ll be bringing joy to an isolated senior this holiday season.
Looking for a gift for someone who is hard to shop for? Consider making a donation in their name to Flamborough Connects! Donations over $20 are eligible for a charitable tax receipt and go directly to supporting Flamborough Connects seniors’ programs, including the Holiday Gift Program.
Donate online at flamboroughconnects.ca/holiday-gift-program, in person at 163 Dundas St. East, by mail to PO Box 240 Waterdown, L0R 2H0 or by e-transfer to admin@flamboroughconnects.ca.
For more information, please call 905-689-7880.
