Established in 2001, Flamborough Volunteers is the local volunteer centre for Waterdown, Carlisle, Freelton, Millborough, Millgrove, Rockton etc.
We help volunteers find their passion to make a difference in community and we help community agencies inspire their volunteers to give back.

Village Theatre Waterdown
Number of hours: 6-8 hours/month, with more around productions
Description: This marketing and promotion role starts in June and is for a one-year term. Detailed role description is located at: http://www.villagetheatrewaterdown.ca/get-involved/
The Promotion Coordinator plays a core role in the marketing and communications for Village Theatre productions and other activities.
This is an opportunity to be a part of live theatre in Waterdown. This is an opportunity to apply and expand your promotion experience while being a part of the Executive. Hamilton Literacy Council
Number of hours: 4 hours per week
Description: Volunteers needed to help English-speaking adults basic reading, writing, math and/or computer skills.

The Hamilton Literacy Council is looking for passionate individuals with skills and vision to contribute as members of our volunteer Board of Directors. Given the experience of current board members, the Board is seeking individuals who bring expertise in one or more of the following areas:
– Financial Management
– Legal & Regulatory Issues
– Fund Raising
Number of hours: 2 year term commitment, 9 meetings per year
Canadian Guide Dogs For The Blind
Number of Hours: 2-4 hours monthly

Description: Canadian Guide Dogs for the Blind is looking for volunteers in the Waterdown and Burlington areas to help with our donation collection program. The position offers very flexible hours, on your own schedule and only requires a couple of hours each month or every other month. Description: cleaning cages, scooping litter, changing bedding, helping with dishes and laundry, sweeping and mopping floor
Living Rock Ministries, Youth Resource Centre
Number of Hours: 2-8 hours weekly
Description: Living Rock Ministries, Youth Resource Centre exists to be a safe place of community and support for youth-at-risk.
Positions Available: Breakfast program, Dinner program, Food Bank, Prenatal Care, Youth Support Worker, Administration Assistant, Weekend Support, etc.
Alexander Place Long Term Care Home
Number of Hours: 2 hours per week
Description: Alexander Place LTC has several different volunteer opportunities. They are looking for committed and passionate volunteers to join their team to help provide services and socialization to residents! Ovarian Cancer Canada

Description: Ovarian Cancer Canada is looking for enthusiastic and dedicated volunteers to support the 2022 Ovarian Cancer Canada Walk of Hope on September 11th.
Volunteers are essential to this event, and we need your help! Help create a safe and welcoming community of support for all participants – there are plenty of ways to get involved. Volunteer opportunities include:
– Building local relationships by securing sponsorships and in-kind donations
– Supporting local event logistics
– Using social media to build excitement in your community
– Leading on-site activations (accepting donations, completing registrations, ensuring participants know where and how to get involved)
