In response to COVID-19, Flamborough Connects is now offering Flamborough Shops, an affordable grocery shopping service for those who are unable to shop for themselves.
This service is available to anyone who has little to no support at home, are at a high risk for COVID-19 or those with a disability that limits their ability to go grocery shopping.
You must live in Flamborough, including Waterdown, Carlisle, Freelton, Milgrove, Lynden, Greensville, and Rockton.
How it works:
- Call the Flamborough Connects office to place your order, or email us.
- A volunteer will complete your shop and drop groceries off with no contact and social distancing.
- Complete payment by e-transfer or giving a cheque to the volunteer shopper.
We want to ensure that everyone in the community is able to get the groceries they need. If you are interested in using this service but are unsure if you meet the eligibility please give us a call at 905-689-7880 and we can discuss your options!
This service operates on a biweekly basis.
Our volunteers can pick up groceries, household cleaning supplies, and personal hygiene products and over the counter medications from these stores: Shoppers Drugmart, Walmart and No Frills in Waterdown.
$10 for 25km round trip or less and $15 for anything over that range.
Call 905-689-7880 or email firstname.lastname@example.org to get started!
