Event Series: Waterdown Museum of Hope – May Museum Experience

Waterdown Museum of Hope – May Museum Experience

May 5, 2025 @ 4:00 pm - 8:00 pm

The May Exhibition opens with the 80th Anniversary of the
Liberation of the Netherlands. Join us for special events
this week to mark this historic milestone.

This year we have 16 student-curated exhibits!
We are also excited to share a special new permanent exhibit: The Dryden Collection. In 1945, Murray Dryden was sent to the Netherlands to set up a club to alleviate the boredom of the Canadian soldiers still in Holland. The Siesta Club and Maple Leaf Club served as a hub for the liberators who had to remain behind until Christmas 1945. Murray and his wife had 3 children, Judy, Ken and Dave (the only two brother goalies to play each other in the NHL).
