Jane’s Walk – Waterdown Village
May 2 @ 10:00 am - 11:00 am

Join the Jane’s Walk movement locally, for a conversation-led stroll through downtown Waterdown to learn more about the neighbourhood we call home.
Jane Jacobs was a writer, urbanist and activist who championed a community-based approach to city-building. Jacobs lived in Greenwich Village until the late 1960s at which time she moved to Toronto. In both cities, she helped derail the car-centred approach to urban planning and invigorated neighbourhood and community activism.
We’re excited to participate in this movement, hosting a walkabout through the heritage district of Waterdown. We invite you to connect with neighbours and join the conversation. We’ll share details about our community’s past through stories depicted in street-level public art.
This is a free event. Registration is required to track capacity. Please register at the ticket link. The same tour will be covered on both Saturday and Sunday. Meet in front of Memorial Hall. Weather permitting. Follow @WaterdownVillage for news on any rain cancellations.
