Education Series

Bringing people and resources together for over 40 years.

At this time, all programming is virtual.

Flamborough Connects provides opportunities for residents of all ages to learn about important and interesting topics while socializing and networking with others in the community – from Waterdown to Carlisle, Millgrove, Freelton, Beverly, Rockton, Millborough, Sheffield and Lynden.

FC organizes several educational events per year. We love bringing programs to participants and facilitate most sessions in the rural areas. Need a ride? We provide transportation for those who do not drive or have access to public transit. All sessions are free and sometimes include lunch! While most topics are geared to seniors, everyone is welcome to participate.

Upcoming Education Series (hosted on Zoom):

    • Wednesdays at 10am starting September 22 and running weekly until October 13:  ‘Taking Charge of Youth Brain Health’ – covering: ‘Normal Brain Health’, ‘the MIND Diet’, ‘Exercise and Brain Health’, and ‘What to do if you are concerned about someone’ presented by the Alzheimer Society of Hamilton Halton
    • Thursday October 14 at 10am:  ‘An Update on Cannabis’ presented by Hello Medical Cannabis to help us understand new products and use of cannabis for health and wellness as we mark the 3rd anniversary of its legalization in Canada.
