In response to COVID-19, community events are being postponed and cancelled and organizations are closing their doors to the public. We will continue to update this list with information as time goes on.
- Hospitals are closed to visitors. No visitors are allowed at any area hospital as attempts to contain COVID-19 escalate now that the virus is spreading in the Hamilton and Halton communities.
- All municipal facilities are closed to the public. The closure includes all municipal service centres, including Flamborough’s located at 163 Dundas St. East, public counters and City Hall.
- Hamilton recreation centres, seniors’ centres, public library branches, community halls and arenas are closed until at least April 6. This includes the Flamborough Seniors’ Centre at 163 Dundas St. East, Flamborough branches of the Hamilton Public Library, including in Waterdown, Carlisle, Freelton, Greensville and Lynden, Flamborough arenas and community centres, including Carlisle Community Centre, Beverly Arena in Rockton and Waterdown’s Harry Howell.
